Conferences, meetings

There may be several speakers at a conference or meeting. We will identify them as far as possible. With some of our long-term customers, we can recognise the speakers' voices very well.

Important reasons for having a conference transcribed is to keep an accurate record. This helps with the production of minutes. We've also worked on formal annual general meetings.

Web-based meetings

We're used to transcribing Zoom calls or Teams meetings, etc.

As with the conferences or meetings, we can identify individual speakers as far as possible. 

Videos, TV

We can produce subtitles or closed captions and insert timecodes for a variety of video formats.

We have had experience of producing subtitles for BBC programmes amongst others.

Interviews

We can transcribe PACE interviews to the correct format and we have strict confidentiality guidelines in place.

We can also transcribe panel interviews, one-to-ones, conducted over the telephone/internet/face-to-face.

 

 

Medical, scientific, technical

We are increasingly transcribing many medical webinars and presentations, or often have audio of a scientific or technical nature. These involve extra care to research and check spellings to ensure accuracy. Fortunately often a presentation or similar will be provided to assist us with this.

The transcription process

  • You will have your audio or video files ready for transcription. We have tips available for effective recording.
  • In order to provide a quote and some idea of the turnaround time, you need to supply the length of the recording/s, an idea of the content - how many speakers, is it a conference, a focus group, an interview, the subject matter - and the required deadline for return.
  • Most audio is transcribed "intelligent verbatim", that is no unnecessary words are transcribed, eg er, hmm. Strict verbatim can be provided at a higher cost.
  • The rate is per audio minute and may depend on the type and quality of recording, and whether timecodes are required. Please contact us for a quote using the contact form.
  • Once you are happy to proceed, we can provide links to a secure file transfer service.
  • Payment terms are within 30 days via BACS or PayPal. (Private individuals will need to pay in advance).
